Using Patient Reported Measures to Improve Care for IBS Patients

Session Time: 15:00-16:00 Thursday 11th November

Session synopsis: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) symptoms can significantly affect quality of life. For many people, first line dietary changes fail to achieve adequate symptom improvement. A small pilot in Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) provides specialist advice including the highly successful ‘low FODMAP’ diet and uses a digital platform to collect patient outcome and experience measures (PROMS and PREMs). The presentation will summarise how this pilot has been implemented and illustrate how using digital PROMS and PREMs can maximise efficiency and make better use of limited clinical resources.

Speakers: Sioned Jones
