Session synopsis: Benchmarking is an established feature of healthcare, however when applied in the context of value based healthcare the practice is still in its infancy.
Moving beyond benchmarking based on defined measures such as mortality, surgical or diagnostic activities to less standardised and readily available measures such as PROMs is a challenge that many across the globe are grappling with. This session will aim to share some of the aspirations and lessons learnt in Wales to date.
