The Welsh Value in Health Centre, and its founder Dr Sally Lewis, have won a top NHS Wales award.
Alongside tough competition, the value team won the NHS Wales Leadership award for embedding Value-Based Healthcare in Wales and inspiring change across the world.
The WViHC is developing best practice and resources including Patient Reported Outcome Measures [PROMs], Standard Operating Model (PSOM), outcome data collection, and providing skills and capacity in key areas while reducing unwarranted variation in services.
The Welsh Value in Health Centre is now part of the NHS Wales Executive and sits in the Digital, Data, Technology, Innovation and Value directorate (DDTIV). It is headed up by its new national director, Chris Brown who joined the team this month.
The awards were presented at a ceremony in Cardiff (24 October) attended by finalists from across NHS Wales.
