Head of Procurement

Esther is the Head of Procurement at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, part of the wider NWSSP Procurement services. Esther joined the NHS is 2006, following 22 years in the commercial retail sector. Esther’s passion for Value based Health care began in earnest 2 years ago following her daughter’s diagnosis of ARVC and is currently working closely with Cardiologists and the Head of VBHC within the Heart failure pathway to add value and improve patient outcomes.  

Following months of discovery whilst working through Covid, the opportunity to work with Industry, Lifesciences Hub and the Health Board is now coming to fruition with the commencement of the NTproBNP project, challenging us all to think differently so we can really make a difference to the patients in our community.
