National Clinical Lead

Dr Melanie Thomas, National Clinical Lead Lymphoedema Wales. Melanie is a physiotherapist by background and was instrumental in developing an equitable Lymphoedema Services in Wales. She is responsible for the planning and strategic development of Lymphoedema Wales (LW) across NHS Wales.   

Embedded in Value-Based Healthcare LW aims to reduce waste, harm and variation as well as enhancing learning thus improving patient outcomes, patient experience and quality. Research is high on the agenda as well as embedding new programmes of work into business as usual.
