AWCEG

THESE PAGES ARE UNDER DEVELOPMENT

The All-Wales Clinical Effectiveness Group (AWCEG) was established in November 2023 to review the existing Interventions Not Normally Undertaken (INNU) policies held by Health Boards across Wales.

The aim of this group is to ensure that a national approach to quality improvement takes place, that best practice is spread across the healthcare system and ensures equity of access to evidence-based intervention.  These interventions will be considered against a series of criteria for inclusion in the Evidence-Based Interventions Wales (EBIW) programme.

Evidence-Based Interventions Wales (EBIW)

The Evidence-based interventions programme is an initiative led by the All-Wales Clinical Effectiveness Group and supported by the Clinical Implementation Networks.

The aim of the group is to develop a national approach to quality improvement and value-based healthcare.

This will be achieved by promoting evidence-based interventions and best practice across the NHS in Wales to ensure equity of access across all regions.
